Logging into Sterling for the First Time
Below is the email you should receive from noreply@sterling.app to start completing your package.
Choose and submit your preferred method of verification when the screen below pops up.
- Please Note: this first email you receive will always state that you are being issued a “background check/investigation” even if that is not what is being issued to you.
Click on the “Click here to begin” link (circled in red) to begin.
The following page will pop up. Keep your email address in the field. Create a password. You may select the button once the password in the Password and Confirm Password fields match, and you agree to Sterling’s Terms of Use. Your password must be at least 8 characters in length with 1 uppercase and lowercase letter, 1 number, and 1 special character.
Choose and submit your preferred method of verification when the screen below pops up.
Once you finish following the verification steps, you will be prompted to begin the process. Select the button (circled in red below) when ready.
Select “Continue” on the following screen, circled in red.
Verify your location on the screen below by selecting the drop-down carrots highlighted in yellow.
Select in the bottom right corner once all information is completed and accurate.
You will then be prompted to read and sign disclosure and authorization forms as seen below.
Scroll to the bottom of the page, type your full name in the space provided, and select in the bottom right of the screen.
Continue reading the forms and select in the bottom right of the screen each time you are prompted to.
You will select for the final two forms (“HIPAA Authorization” and “Authorization”)
Completing and Scheduling your Test
The following page will appear:
Complete your information in all required fields (you will have to scroll to continue completion).
You can select in the bottom right corner once all information is complete and accurate.
If you have other documents you wish to provide, you may do upload them on the screen below. If not, you may select “Next” (circled in red) to continue.
You will now be prompted to select a site to complete your test(s). Sterling will automatically provide test sites close to your current residence. However, you may search for other locations via zip code in the “Zip Code” field.
- Please Note: the above image is just an example. You may have more/less/different tests to complete than shown above.
Select your preferred test site. If you are issued more than one test, you may also select to complete each test at a separate site. All available test sites are partnered with Sterling.
Select when you are ready to continue.
You will be prompted to log in to Sterling. Use the same email address that the original email was sent to. Click “Continue” (circled in red).
Use the same password you created earlier. Select “Log in.”
Enter the verification texted to you. Select “Submit” (circled in red below).
You will now be able to view the following page:
Press “Continue,” circled in red.
You will be sent back to the page you left off on before being prompted to log into Sterling:
Scroll and select .
You will be asked to review all information, as seen below. Review carefully as data cannot be changed beyond this point. Select once you have reviewed everything.
The following page confirms that you have now completed all steps necessary.
You will receive the following email from NoReply@sterlingcheck.com with test registration instructions. Please read the email thoroughly. You will need to present the email at the clinic. You will also need to provide the Registration Document attached to the email. Best practice is to print the document.
